The 2nd INTOCUS International Conference, entitled “Heritage, Cultural Tourism & Sustainability” was successfully held at Harokopio University of Athens on 27–28 February 2026. The conference was co-organized by the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, the University of the Aegean, and the Hellenic Open University.
Conference Highlights:
83 presentations/research papers, over 230 authors, and more than 180 participants from around the world.
A particularly significant moment of the conference was the presentation dedicated to the memory of Professor Theano S. Terkenli, honoring both her legacy and her substantial contribution to the academic community.
Within the framework of the conference, the PANTOUR Project National Event was also held, titled “From Dilemma to Synergy: The Future of Skills in Greek Tourism & Hospitality,” with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and leading professionals from the Greek tourism sector.
The 2nd INTOCUS International Conference highlighted the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to issues related to cultural heritage, cultural tourism, and sustainability, while also reinforcing the role of Harokopio University in fostering scientific collaboration and international dialogue.
