Professor Chryssa Sofianopoulou, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Internationalization, and Quality Assurance, represented Harokopio University of Athens at the Global University Presidents Dialogue, held from November 5 to 7, 2025, in Jining, Shandong Province, China, by official invitation of the Shandong Association for International Exchange of Personnel (SDAIEP).
The forum brought together leading universities worldwide to explore new opportunitie for academic collaboration and to strengthen international engagement. During the event, the Vice-Rector held focused meetings with top institutions, discussing joint research initiatives, student and staff exchanges, and potential joint English-taught programs.
She also delivered a lecture titled “The Boundaries of AI Empowerment: Guarding Academic Integrity, Creativity, and Human Agency”, emphasizing Harokopio University’s commitment to the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in academia. During her visit to the Confucius Institute, she was awarded the honorary title “Cultural Exchange Ambassador” in recognition of the University’s role in promoting international intercultural dialogue.
This participation strengthens Harokopio University’s international profile and opens new avenues for collaboration with leading academic centers in Asia.
