The 3rd Open-Air Cities International Conference \u201cLocal and Regional Sustainable Development and Urban Reconstruction\u201d<\/strong> was successfully concluded at Harokopio University of Athens<\/strong>, held on 5\u20137 December 2025.<\/strong><\/p>

The Conference was organized by the Postgraduate Programme \u201cSustainable Development\u201d<\/strong> of Harokopio University, in collaboration with the Syros Institute<\/strong> and Open-Air Cities<\/strong>.<\/p>

During the Conference, 203 scientific papers<\/strong> were presented across 28 thematic sessions<\/strong>, focusing on local and regional sustainable development, urban reconstruction, and the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>. The main objectives of the Conference included enhancing the international outreach of the University<\/strong>, highlighting contemporary research<\/strong>, and fostering synergies among academic and institutional stakeholders<\/strong>. A total of 262 faculty members, professors, and researchers<\/strong> from higher education institutions in Greece and abroad participated, many of whom were distinguished academics with extensive experience in teaching, research, and scholarly activities.<\/p>

The Conference was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Greece, Ms. Marcela Hanusov\u00e1<\/strong>, emphasizing the international character of the event and the importance of cross-border cooperation in the fields of sustainable development and circular economy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
